From Groningen/Zwolle:

Take the large roundabout at Joure (motorways A6/A7) towards Sneek. Arriving at Sneek, turn right towards Woudsend/Hommerts. In the town of Hommerts, take the roundabout towards Heeg. Arriving at Heeg, go straight on at the first roundabout, and turn left by taking the third exit on the second roundabout.

Follow the road in the direction of Gaastmeer. After crossing a bridge, continue and turn right at the T-junction to Gaastmeer, leaving the town of Heeg at your left. You will find De Bird after approximately 500 meters on your right hand side.

From Amsterdam/Schiphol Airport:

Take the motorways A4/A10 and then A7 in the direction of Zaanstad/Leeuwarden. After crossing the Afsluitdijk and entering the province of Friesland, continue towards Sneek. After passing underneath the aquaduct in Sneek, turn right to Woudsend / Hommerts.

In the town of Hommerts, take the roundabout towards Heeg. Arriving at Heeg, go straight on at the first roundabout, and turn left by taking the third exit on the second roundabout.

Follow the road in the direction of Gaastmeer. After crossing a bridge, continue and turn right at the T-junction to Gaastmeer, leaving the town of Heeg at your left. You will find De Bird after approximately 500 meters on your right hand side.
